Safety Fire & Environment Ltd

A pragmatic approach to your risk management needs

Need risk management consultation or training?

Safety

We offer a range of safety services based on a pragmatic approach to people's safety. We believe safety is about assisting businesses with their activity without unnecessary hindrance.

We're opposed to the H&S Jobsworth approach to safety management. However, we also believe safety is not a paperwork exercise and we seek to work with managers to change culture through information, training and example.

Training

SFE offer a range of H&S training and can provide competitive quotations. Training is delivered in-house or at an external venue and can be tailored bespoke to the client, to include their own policy and procedures.

Accident Investigation

Safety event investigations, both personal injury accidents and near misses are an essential part of a safety management system. SFE offers both an investigation and safety event training service.

Risk Assesments

Risk assessments are requirements under a range of H&S legislation. SFE offers a risk assessment service including assessments on machinery and most work activities.

Fire

The Regulatory (Fire Safety) Order 2005 places duties on organisations to have in place a Fire Risk Assessment and to work towards making the workplace safe for people in the case of a fire.

We act as the competent person for organisations to produce their fire risk assessment and provide an action plan for improved safety in the case of a fire. The Fire risk assessment is the starting point for a safer working environment for staff and visitors.

Some of Fire Services we provide

SFE can offer fire warden, fire awareness and fire extinguisher training on site. Additionally, hot works, hot works fire watch and welding safety training can be provided to suit the needs of your organisation.

Environment

Protecting the global and local environment is not only required through legislation but is an expectation of society. We have experience in introducing ISO 14001's and specialize in provision planning to protect the environment should a fire or spillage occur (emergency response plans).

Additionally CDOIF Environmental Risk Assessments for COMAH sites can be produced. Our Director, David Hanlon, is the author of the fire service manual for Environmental Protection and although now retired from the fire service is keen to share his wealth of knowledge with the industry.
